[contextly_sidebar id=”H9Shd96LAofFPl1d72xjlAJ3dEoTwoGm”]According to Bagbin, who has been an ardent critic of the government, “the President has done very well and he doesn’t think anyone will contest him”
“There is no need for anybody to contest him. There is a consensus that no one should contest him,” Bagbin added.
The Nadowli-Kaleo legislator expressed profound optimism in the likelihood of the NDC winning the 2016 election with John Mahama as the flagbearer.
The President if unchallenged in the primaries will be in the race against the New Patriotic Party’s Flagbearer Nana Addo Dankwa Akuffo Addo to be president for his second term.
Mr Bagbin who has been in Parliament since 1992 is also seeking re-election and would contest in the NDC’s primaries.
