Nigerian city Kano floods after heavy rain [Photos]

The streets of Nigeria’s biggest city Kano have been flooded after hours of heavy rain.

The BBC reports that the city’s famous Kurmi market was flooded along with  several bus and taxi parks.

The rain which cased the floods is believed to have lasted for over seven hours.

In 2013, over 500 people were displaced after heavy rain flooded their homes in Kano
