The National Democratic Congress (NDC) has set November 7, 2015 for its presidential and parliamentary primaries.
[contextly_sidebar id=”bPBT52Bb1V9RpzPhVLkxzw3O4hb6SEdn”]This was a decision taken at a Functional Executive Committee (FEC) meeting earlier today, attended by President John Dramani Mahama and Vice President Kwesi Amissah-Arthur among top party and government functionaries.
It was also announced during the meeting that every registered member of the party will take part in the exercise.
The Committee among other things proposed the expansion of the current Electoral College to include all biometrically registered members of the party.
The NDC has so far registered over 500,000 members in its new biometric registration exercise.
It has anticipated to register about 1.5 million members by August 31.
The NDC’s FEC also agreed on a filing fee of GH¢50,000 for the presidential slot and GH¢10,000 for male parliamentary aspirants.
It also agreed on GH¢5,000 for women and disabled aspirants.
