Workers of the Agricultural Development Bank (adb) have lashed out at government for the continuous stay in office of the Managing Director of adb bank despite the allegations of mismanagement leveled against him.
According to the Professional and Managerial Staff Union (PMSU) and the local workers union, government has acted in bad faith in keeping Stephen Kpordzie at post though his contract expired months ago.
[contextly_sidebar id=”wzwIycj6LrDTLSRHIEhaKYcIXo0h8DWB”]In a press release signed by local chairman of PMSU, Mark Imoro, the workers are asking government to show commitment to fighting corruption by directing the MD to step aside immediately.
They are also demanding for the audit report to be made public.
They threatened that the board of adb and government will have themselves to blame if their demands are not addressed.
Meanwhile Citi Business News has gathered the Tema district council of labour will embark on a demonstration in the next seven days to put pressure on government to sack the managing director.
