Following the unending power crisis, cedi depreciation amidst Ghana’s economic challenges, a former General Secretary of the opposition New Patriotic Party (NPP), Kwadwo Owusu Afriyie has opined that President John Mahama is “tired” of governing and “confused,” about how to solve the problems.

He was responding to IMANI Ghana’s 47% grading of the NDC government after the elections in 2012, when he appeared on the Point Blank segment of Eyewitness News on Tuesday.
The former general secretary further chastised President Mahama for not yielding to the demands by the striking doctors because he is a “dead goat.”
Doctors in the public sector have refused to return to work unless government provides them with conditions of service.
Several negotiations to have the issue addressed have faild to yield any positive results while President Mahama has insisted that he will not authorise any salary or allowance which has not been budgeted for.
Sir John said Ghana’s unending problems will be solved only when President Mahama is “reshuffled” in 2016.
“Very abysmal performance by John. His party and his government are corrupt to the elbow and he himself will be happy to be reshuffled in 2016 and I can’t wait for that day,” he said.
“He is too tired you could see that from all his policies and pronouncement that I’m not going to pay monies to doctors even beyond 2015 budget when indeed the doctors are not asking you to give them money by the 2015 budget and that whatever they are asking for is for 2016. The man is tired, the man is confused, the man is a dead goat, and I think that it is the syndrome that is killing him and he needs to be reshuffled for his own good,” added Sir John.
