League leaders AshantiGold saved a point at the Golden City Park when Emmanuel Osei scored an 88th minute penalty to earn the Miners a 2-2 draw against Berekum Chelsea in Match 28 of the First Capital Plus Premier League.
AshGold took the lead through Yakubu Mohammed who scored from the spot in the 8th minute but they soon found themselves facing defeat after Chelsea scored twice through Kofi Owusi in the 35th and Latif Salifu in the 66th minute.
But the Miners were saved when Osei was fouled in the Chelsea penalty area and put away the resulting penalty.
The result leaves AshantiGold on 49 points while Berekum Chelsea has 41 points.
The rest of the 28th round of the First Capital Plus Premier League will be played on Sunday 16th August.
