The Adentan Municipal Assembly on Friday demolished structures supposedly erected on waterways at Adjiringanor in Accra.
The structures had been built near the Lake Tesa.
According to the Assembly, Lake Tesa, which stretches from East Legon to parts of the motorway, has been encroached.
The exercise according to the Adentan Munipal Assembly was to prevent further encroachment.
The Assembly further explained that affected residents were notified in advance before the demolition exercise.
A team made up of the Military, Police, Fire Service, NADMO and officers of the assembly were there to ensure the exercise went on any resistance.
