Two persons are critically injured in Bawku after a shooting incident on Sunday morning.

The Imam was first arrested last night but was granted bail only to be rearrested this morning when he presented himself to the police.
The Assistant Secretary of the Mossi Youth Association Mohammed Duniyamin in an interview with Citi News explained that the Imam was arrested for allegedly allowing some minors to go begging on the streets.
He rubbished the reasons behind his arrest adding that “this is an unnecessary allegation and it’s a lie and he has never influenced anyone to go and beg.”
The Municipal Chief Executive of Bawku, Issaku Bukari confirmed the shooting incident to Citi News in an interview.
“I understand some youth went to the police station in a convoy and there were some disagreements but investigations are ongoing,” he said.
The incident comes barely six months after a shooting incident in that area, left a student of the Bawku Senior High School severely injured.
