Roma have announced the signing of Arsenal goalkeeper Wojciech Szczesny on a year-long loan.
Szczesny, 25, passed a medical on Monday and on Wednesday signed a year-long loan deal with Roma until 30 June 2016.
The Polish goalkeeper made 29 appearances for Arsenal last season but leaves following the arrival of former Chelsea keeper Petr Cech.
Szczesny, who joined Arsenal in 2009, said: “I came here to win matches and trophies with AS Roma and I think the team is strong enough to do it.
I think there’s great potential. I know the faces and the names of my new team-mates, so I hope to get acclimatised quickly. ”
