Professor Stephen Adei, former Director-General of the Ghana Institute of Management and Public Administration (GIMPA), has underscored the need for education institutions to train people to fit into the job market.
He said, they must exhibit a high sense of integrity, commitment and dedication to duty, in order to impact positively on society.

Organized by the BEIGE Group and christened; ‘The BEIGE Talent (TBT), the nine-month programme is an innovation that seeks to look into the future, by investing in the youth, and empowering them to maximize their potentials.
During the period, the trainees who are between the ages of 20 and 27, will be involved in formal classroom learning of soft skills, the aim of which is to imbibe in them what is needed to cultivate a good work attitude.
They will be taken through topics such as: Values and Ethics in Business; Grooming; Office skills; Effective Communication; Building Self Confidence; Basic Leadership Management Skills; Time Management; Team Building; Assertiveness, Presentation and Problem Solving Skills.
Prof Adei who is the Board Chairman of the BEIGE Group, further stressed the need for Ghanaians to remain committed, in order to transform the nation to train a new group of professionals.
He urged Ghanaians not only to develop the passion and love for work, but to also develop the culture of good work ethics at all times.
Prof Adei advised the trainees to take advantage of the opportunity to under-go the training with their hearts and minds in order to excel later in whatever capacity they found themselves.
Mr Mike Nyinaku, Chief Executive Officer of BEIGE Capital, said Management of the BEIGE Group had recognized the Youth as formidable corporate leaders to help develop the nation in the 21st century and even beyond.
Mr Nyinaku said, as a result, the BEIGE Academy would ensure that beyond 2018, about 80 per cent of ‘our talent resources will be products of the Academy.’
Reverend Frank Lartey, Director of Education and Training at the National Youth Authority, said the National Youth Policy aimed at producing knowledgeable, disciplined and self-reliant youth who would take the nation to the next level of its development.
Mr Kofi Adu-Larbi, Board Chairman of BEIGE Capital, reminded the trainees that all-development was self-development, and for that matter, they should take the fullest advantage of the programme to unearth their potential.
Mrs Dolly G Laryea, a Resource Person, said the BEIGE Talent programme aimed to identify, groom and prepare the trainees into resourceful persons ‘who will be equipped with the required skills, judgment and know-how, to become the face of the BEIGE brand in the near future.’
