One person is feared dead following the collapse of a three storey building at Cantonments in Accra.
The deceased, according to Citi News’ Pearl Akanya Ofori is believed to be the owner of the building.
Personnel from the Ambulance Service are currently at the scene to retrieve bodies trapped in the building but according to Pearl, “it is difficult trying to lift the rubble so they are bringing in excavators to retrieve the bodies of persons trapped in the building.”
The building reportedly collapsed around 1.30 PM.
It is unclear the number of people trapped in the building but Pearl reported that “people are still screaming in there.”
