The leadership of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) has in a statement reminded its members that due to pending court cases, parliamentary primaries in seven constituencies have been suspended.
The affected areas are; Ablekuma West, Okaikoi South, Manhyia North, Krowor, Kumawu, Akontombra and Ho Central.
[contextly_sidebar id=”dGSOQ5kNIzyYBhxTxsnMXooqyNvx7O6U”]The statement signed by the NPP General Secretary, Kwabena Agyepong stated that per a ruling of the High Court of justice in Agona Swedru on the recent parliamentary primaries in the Gomoa East constituency, there will be run-off of the parliamentary primary on Saturday, July 25th 2015.
In the meantime, he said the party is exercising its best endeavours to resolve all matters through internal processes.
Meanwhile, the primaries in Tema West Constituency will take place on Saturday, July 25 after months of disqualifications, appeals and protests against the disqualification of one of the candidates, Carlos Ahenkorah.
Other constituencies in the Greater Accra Region to hold their primaries on Saturday are Tema Central, Obom Domeabra and Klottey Korle.
Kintampo North in the Brong Ahafo Region, Juabeng in the Ashanti Region as well as Kwesi Mintim in the Western Region will also take place on Saturday.
