Imagine it was you, or your close relative. You’re only ignoring the main issue and attacking the unnecessary ones. Shame on you! You’re all part of our problems in the nation. Ignoring the important things…

You are very brilliant and I want to thank you for correcting my spelling mistake. If you did not need public support and opinions there wouldn’t be the need getting this to the media. people have different opinions and it is not every opinion that must favor your fight meanwhile it is support you want. Now, if you are talking about the nature of your work, how you studied in school and all those arguments in the exerpt above, I will say you do not know what you are fighting for. You are not fighting for superiority, you are fighting for your salaries. I know people I worked harder than in sss who passed better than i do and equally who worked harder than me that i passed better than and i know the reasons why there were difference in performance because the grade difference in my class was very narrow and the results at the end of the term used to show that we were at almost the same iq, but what caused the difference, privileges. know what you fight for, the argument by that junior doctor did not go down well with many.

Well I see the point Generous is making above. Not being paid for a year is hard for everyone and NO worker should have to endure it!!! Now what has good grades in SSS and going on and on about deserving it got to do with it? I believe every worker works hard for his/her pay and thus deserves IT!!! Doctors are not the only one who stay up late to learn or to work, neither are they the only workers in Ghana whose salaries are delayed for a year and more and it is abhorrent that this should happen to anyone!!! However, the tirade I read above reeks of entitlement and self-importance. but then again i guess he is entitled to his pay. You have worked, I hope you worked as hard as you claim you did in “SSS” demand your pay and stick to what is important. On a lighter note: often those who made bad grades worked harder than those who made good ones!!!

correcting grammar isn’t the problem here.its about delays in salary which is bad on the part of government and everyone i guess abhors that.your cry will hopefully reverse the system of engaging health workers for long before paying them their arrears cos it cuts across.
however, what “generous” wishes to put out there if i got him right is that there’s no need for ironically being sorry for the good grades stuff and blablabla….we all cant be doctors neither engineers or whatsoever field of profession we desire to take up.
In essence there’s justification for the demand but let’s table issues in a manner that once submitted you hit your points.
Some of our leaders i think are a bit selfish.they won’t delay anything of theirs but rather bring policies to negatively affect the ordinary Ghanaian.we’re all watching

Evidently you either don’t have the least understanding of the facts, or you are just refusing to accept the facts as laid bare for all to see my ‘Generous’ friend. You first of all contradict yourself by discounting the sacrifices and hazards gone through by doctors to get to where they are in one breath and claiming just that doesn’t qualify them to be paid – illogical reasoning O.o

Education is Not a privilege (<- correct spelling btw). Choosing to become a Doctor, of all occupations, should in no way be seen as a damning sentence either. If you read clearly at all, the writer was not claiming any importance over other health workers (duh!) but was spelling out the gravity and involvement that work as a Junior Doctor in Ghana requires on a daily basis, 24/7 so the Ghanaian in the street could come close to appreciating the weight of the injustice that has been heaped on them over the past 11 months.
But then again, I must admit, I'm only explaining the self-explanatory letter here so other enlightened minds that might be misled by your unbecoming twisting of matters here may be set on the correct path once more – it's obvious that barring any impediment to understanding, you have some axe to grind with doctors as a whole…maybe you could have applied yourself a little bit harder in SSS to make the cut yourself so you could have been the One to step forward to 'ask for your pay' in a better manner today?

There is some humour there in an otherwise serious issue…the style is what has given popularity to this piece. If I were President Mahama, I will give the Finance Minister a call tonight…hope u get the cash u’ve worked for. Medicine is still prestigious and rewarding…once u receive ur first salary, specialise in future, start consulting, you’ll regret apologising. In the interim, continue with the locum to survive

Ask for your pay and stop talking about your work, every work requires the brain to be carried out effectively. Are you better than those who manufacture your surgical tools, are you better than those who develop the medicines that you apply on your clients. Don’t bring yourself next time!!
