Afropop songstress, Eazzy, has disclosed that as part of her rebranding activities for 2015, she is looking beyond music to venture into other fields of show business.
In addition to music, Eazzy told Showbiz in an interview she would be looking at acting roles in movies, event hosting and merchandising.
Eazzy, whose first movie role was a part in Yvonne Nelson’s Single, Married and Complicated, said although she found the role very challenging, she is open to more offers depending on the script and cash involved.
“Movies are very difficult to do because you have to spend days on a set just shooting a single scene but this is not the reason to refuse roles when I am offered. I am very open to accept movie roles depending on the story and financial incentives that come with it,” she said.
The Wengeze singer said that as part of her rebranding activities, she would spend more time engaging in humanitarian and philanthropic activities. “I feel that as artistes, we have to give back to society in our own small way. As such, I would be working more with disadvantaged children just to put a smile on their faces.
“In fact, I have plans to make donations and engage in other charity events every quarter of the year. Some of the charity stuff I have been doing are sometimes funded by myself but there are times when I get support from some institutions and corporate bodies and I hope to add some more,” she said.
On her merchandising activity, Eazzy said her range of products would be taking off soon.” I am keeping the exact date a secret until I am very ready to reveal it to the public.”
She also revealed that her nationwide tour would be taking off later this year. “The last time I went on a nationwide tour was some years ago but I plan to do so very soon especially in the run up to the launch of my Rangers album.
“The album is almost complete and the singles released off it, Ginger and Burning Love, have been well received and I am excited. I will be releasing another single soon,” she said.
