Some aggrieved National Democratic Congress (NDC) youth in the Saboba constituency of the Northern Region have petitioned President John Dramani Mahama to sack the District Chief Executive, John Adolf Ali.
They have threatened to abandon the NDC if President Mahama ignored their request.
“The District Chief Executive is inaccessible, unapproachable and vote repelling and he is noted for saying you did not vote me into office so stop worrying me.”

This conduct of the DCE according to Zechariah Sandow is dwindling the party’s electoral fortune in the Saboba constituency.
“The party from opposition in 2008 won with a margin of about 1,300 votes and by 2012 we had stepped on enough toes to reduce our winning votes to about 676: we fear if some issues are not addressed immediately, we would not be able to win the next elections in the constituency.”
He claimed the DCE formed a group to molest NDC members who are opposed to his leadership style.
“The DCE has some thugs in Saboba town terrorizing anyone who challenges him: as it stands now, we fear for our lives in Saboba as the DCE’s boys keep threatening and beating us with impunity.”
Zechariah Sandow accused the DCE of fraudulent deals. “Contracts are either awarded to only the DCE, the MP and their friends or sold to people outside the constituency without even considering the interest of the youth and other party faithful.”
“The presence of government’s interventions in terms of projects and programmes at the Saboba district are not felt at all as they have not been used to develop potentials in the youth of the constituency to make our chances brighter for 2016,” he stated.
Zechariah Sandow further descended on the Member of Parliament for Saboba, Hon. Bukari Nikpe Joseph for neglecting the NDC youth.
“The NDC youth in the party have been neglected by the Member of Parliament and the District Chief Executive for far too long and we are unable to endure that anymore.”
He also called on government to connect the Wapuli community to the rural electrification grid.
Several attempts by Citi News to reach the DCE John Adolf Ali have proved futile.
