Police caused the death of two African Americans – Family
Meanwhile the family of the two African Americans are blaming the Police for their deaths.
According to Majewa Akpan, sister to one of the deceased, the Police could have prevented the murder of the two traditional leaders of the African American community in Fihankra if they had been proactive.
She said that they sought the help of the Police on several occasions when their lives were being threatened but they were not assisted in any way.
Majewa Akpan narrated saying, “we went there on numerous occasions to report threats and misbehaviour on the property and when the Minister sent two of the accused men to occupy our building…we asked the Police to come and assist us in getting them out and they said they would not do it.”
