How do they treat their own family or animals? If a guy (or girl for that matter) disrespects his mother, then chances are he is not a great guy. Yet if your partner is using you for an end result, marriage or babies, and not in it 100% because they just enjoy your presence and consider you their true partner, then you are just serving a purpose for them and they do not know how to appreciate you as their partner. Don’t plan what you and your partner will do before you meet them… just be happy you are in love and what you decide to do together should be enough. I see way too many happy couples, ruin it, by moving into their “pre-planned ideology” and turn from happy to divorced, miserable, with kids, and feeling like they are both losing out on enjoying life.
