The Ghana National Gas Company’s (Ghana Gas) Atuabo Gas Processing Plant, which was shut down for planned statutory maintenance has started full service following completion of the requisite works.
Ghana Gas thus resumed processing, production and supply of various gas products on Thursday April 30, 2015 following re-introduction of raw natural gas from the Jubilee Field’s FPSO Kwame Nkrumah to the plant.

The gas processing plant was which was shut down on April, 20, 2015 was to also pave way for “warranty assurance and viability ofoperating insurance.”
A statement issued by the company indicated that ” Ghana Gas is collaborating with the Volta River Authority to manage the transition to full production within the coming days as the VRA progressively increases its offtake of processed lean gas for power production in the Aboadze Thermal Power enclave.”
“The Board and Management of Ghana Gas commend its plant engineers and other stakeholders for their diligence and commitment to duty in completing the works ahead of schedule.”
