Following the death of former Hearts of Oak coach, Sir Cecil Jones Attuquayefio, Black Stars captain, Asamoah Gyan has expressed his heart break about the death of the former tactician.
Gyan was awarded his debut as a young prospect in the ranks of Liberty Professionals in the 2002/2003 season when Attuquayefio was technical director of the club.
The highest scorer of the Black Stars took to social media to express his grief.
Sad day…. my great coach and inspirer… he handed me my first chance… Rest in Peace Sir Cecil Jones Attuaquayefio..

The statement on twitter comes only a few hours after the death of Attuquayefio was confirmed and will be the first of many tributes to pour out for the former Great Olympics coach.
