Two people died in a motor accident on the Gomoa Ada junction road in the Central Region on Easter Monday.
[contextly_sidebar id=”oGMRUR5b1VXRRVFYnknxzFmhX2KSpCr2″]The sprinter bus which was speeding from Obuasi and heading towards Accra, burst its tire, veered off the road and somersaulted several times.
The Apam District Police have confirmed to Citi News that two persons died on the spot.
Apam District Police Commander, ASP Cephas Edzeani noted that those who were injured were quickly rushed to the hospital for treatment.
“Yesterday about 2:30pm Police at Gomoa Ngleshie we received information that an accident had occurred at a sport near the Gomoa Ada Junction along the Mankessim Winneba highway, so the Police went to the scene and they found a Mercedes benz Sprinter in the bush.”
“Two passengers who are yet to be identified died on the sport. The bodies and those injured were conveyed to the Apam catholic hospital.”
In a related development, about eight persons died on the spot while returning from an Easter Church service after their bus got involved in an accident.
