A New Patriotic Party (NPP) Member of Parliament (MP) aspirant for the Korle Klottey constituency, Philip Addison, has urged the party to devise innovative strategies and approaches to win majority seats in Parliament in the 2016 Parliamentary elections.
[contextly_sidebar id=”gJogqAx7pfI7IlzWOar8iFYbyehbHtPa”]He observed that should the party’s flagbearer, Nana Akufo-Addo win the presidential election, he will need majority votes in Parliament to be able to push through his programmes and policies to progress the nation into sustainable prosperity.
Mr Addison, who represented the NPP flagbearer in the 2012 Election Petition at the Supreme Court, also dismissed assertions that he is not an active party member.
“I have been an active member of the Young Executive Forum of the Party from the beginning and have contributed both in monetary and ideas for the running of the party”.
He urged members of the Constituency to give him the nod in the NPP primaries to enable him win the seat for the party.
The Chairman of the Constituency, Nii Noi Nortey, has also declared his intention to contest the seat.
The Parliamentary Primary is scheduled for May 24.
