The Police in the Volta Region say they will liaise with the International Police (Interpol) in Nigerian, to help re-arrest the remaining two suspects who escaped from the Denu Police cells last month.
[contextly_sidebar id=”EQdyANF7czQGatrN15rJnbrHzMTywzub”]The Police believe the remaining two who are of Nigerian descent could be hiding in their home country.
The two escapees are among seven suspected criminals who escaped from the Denu Police cells in March 2015.
So far, five have been re-arrested.
Deputy Volta Regional Police Commander, ACP William Akpesey told Citi News that the joint collaboration will facilitate the arrest of the remaining suspects.
“They are Nigerians…we will involve Interpol to apprehend them. We will do that by this week,” he stated.
The Police had earlier pleaded with Ghanaians to volunteer information that could lead to the arrest of the remaining fugitives.
