Former Joy FM morning show host, Kojo Oppong Nkrumah has officially announced his intention to run as parliamentary candidate for the Ofoase Ayeribi constituency in the Eastern Region, on the ticket of the opposition New Patriotic Party (NPP).
His confirmation comes after days of media speculations, fueled by his campaign posters on social media.

Oppong Nkrumah in his statement said, “I have spent weeks consulting with delegates and members of the community and my family.
Mr Nkrumah went on to say that in the weeks ahead, he would be going through his party’s nomination including filing and all campaign processes ahead of the June 13 parliamentary primaries.
Before Kojo Oppong Nkrumah gets the nod to contest for the seat he has to win the NPP primaries to contest.
According to him, many more of his caliber can put aside their personal needs and take up a challenge higher than themselves.
“I believe that many more of us who are unhappy with the status-quo must step up and be part of the process of fixing our problems,” he stated.
