Addressing party supporters in the Subin Constituency in the Ashanti Region on Thursday, Nana Addo says the NPP can win the 2016 election if all party supporters work hard.
“I’m sure you are all aware of what happened in Nigeria, very soon, something similar will happen here in Ghana but we will have to work hard and make sure to send our message to every household and convince the residents that we in the NPP have the human resource to make Ghana a better place; a place where all will be prosperous.”
He charged them saying “we have to let them know that the NPP has the right leaders, MPs and youth to change the fortunes of this nation.”
Nana Addo further told the crowd “we don’t have much time, 2016 is around the corner, we have to make sure we spread our message so that by the time the final result is declared, the electoral commissioner will declare me as the overall winner.”
On the party’s upcoming parliamentary primaries, Nana Akufu-Addo called for peace, before, during and after the contest.
“The task ahead of us is a tough one, we need to work hard and also communicate our message well, but before that you are going to choose your parliamentary candidate, and I am aware that your MP will contest again. I have also heard of other contenders. I will plead the primaries is devoid of insults. It should rather be a healthy competition that will augment our efforts to win the 2016 election. We have to choose a leader who will help us win power come 2016.”
