Some NDC activists in the Volta Region have threatened to stage a demonstration against some regional executives whom they claim have “hijacked” the party and are operating the party “in their own homes.”

One of the leaders Eddison Aloka in an interview with Citi News said the “three musketeers” have hijacked some vital positions which include the office of the treasurer, hence controlling the pulse and direction of the party in the region.
“The chairman goes about mobilizing funds an using it for his personal gains,” he alleged.
He recalled instances where their colleagues were vilified for demanding accountability from the leadership.
“The slightest comment you make in scrutinizing them, they would take you on; they go attacking you, threatening you; even at night when you asleep they come knocking your doors and threatening to change your sleeping position.”
He also accused the three men of attempting to usurp the powers of the Volta Regional Minister Madam Hellen Adjoa Ntoso as well as plots to remove her from the position.
“They are even making the regional minister not to function. In fact they are even working for that regional minister to be removed from office,” he claimed.
He however lamented that the actions by these men are virtually making the party unpopular in the region.
The activists made up of past executives of the party’s tertiary wing; tertiary education institution network (TEIN) said their protest is to drum home the need for fairness and accountability within the party leadership in the region.
The group has since served the Police with their notice of the intended protest which is slated for Wednesday April 1.
