“I can confirm to you that there has been a jailbreak at the Denu Police station involving some seven persons. As I speak we are yet to know the circumstances surrounding the jailbreak.”
Superintendent Arthur stated that “personnel of the Police have been deployed to all barriers and then the officers at the Ghana Togo border have been alerted to look for the persons and bring them back. Efforts are being made to ensure that the jail breakers are brought back to book.”
“It is early days yet to make any conclusions as to how they escaped. It happened only this dawn. We need a little time to come out with our investigations. We have started looking for them in earnest.”
