Ghanaian legend Gyedu Blay Ambolley thrilled fans with a wonderful performance at Citi FM‘s Jazz Jamboree at the National Theatre in Accra on Friday.
The show, dubbed ‘Jazz in the Citi‘ was on the sixth day of the week-long Music of Ghanaian Origin (MOGO) Festival celebrating highlife music in Ghana.
Ambolley took to the stage as the final performer on the night, after excellent deliveries from Toni Manieson, George Spratz, Kollaboration and Nana Asaase with spoken word.
The Ghanaian highlife legend prepped the crowd by telling them that he was going to show them his “jazz side” and proceeded to wow them with performance after performance along with his band.
The show was meant to be a precursor for the final event on Saturday, The MOGO Awards and judging by Gyedu Blay Ambolley’s showing on Friday night, that event cannot be missed,
