The happy-go-lucky highlife great, Ben Brako on Tuesday night performed some of his great hits at “Night with Highlife Greats” at the Alisa Hotel.
This is part of the MOGO Festival being organized by Citi FM.
Ben Brako before the performance of each song, took highlife lovers through the unique and interesting stories behind the songs.
The “Night with Three Highlife Greats” has so far featured the legend Nana Kwame Ampadu and Ben Brako.
Another highlife great Paap Yankson will take his turn at the Alisa Hotel on Wednesday night.
Ben Brako in his usual class acts, got the patrons to sing along some of popular songs including Etue, Mek) me krom among others.
The MOGO Festival started last Saturday at Mantse Agbonaa, Jamestown with the Accra Music Expo.
Various jama groups from the various Ga communities competed for honours at the event which saw Teshie emerge as winners.
The week long event will also see the the African Jazz Jamboree (Jazz’in the Citi) being staged on Friday March 27.
The event will bring together a host of Africa’s most captivating jazz musicians – Gyedu Blay Ambolley, George Spratz, Aka Blay, Kollaboration, Constant Boty and B.B. Blues. – to give patrons a night to remember.
The MOGO Festival will be climaxed on Saturday March 28 with the MOGO Awards at the Accra International Conference Center.
