The Municipal Chief Executive (MCE) of Agona West, Samuel Oppong, confirmed the news to Citi News.
Citi News last week reported that the late DCE had resigned on health grounds.
He was first nominated as DCE in 2009 by the late President John Evans Atta Mills and was reappointed in 2013 by President John Mahama.
His death brings to two, the number of DCE’s who have died in 2015.
The MCE for the Efutu Municipal assembly also died some months ago.
