Airtel Ghana, multiple award winning telecoms company has announced an exciting collaboration with KFC that will delight all Airtel customers.
Through its innovative mobile money service, Airtel Money, all Airtel Ghana’s 1.5 million customers with a mobile wallet can pay for their meals at KFC.
The collaboration was launched at all five branches of KFC in Accra.
Selected Airtel Ghana staff gave the launch the necessary panache by having their lunch at the premises of the various KFC branches.
They also used the opportunity to demonstrate to staff of KFC and customers the convenience delivered by Airtel Money.
As an added incentive, customers who use Airtel Money to pay for their meals specifically the popular Streetwise 3, at any KFC branch gets an extra piece of chicken whilst stocks last.
Airtel has been at the forefront of the mobile money revolution in Ghana bringing about convenience, flexibility and security in carrying out all forms of financial transactions, key amongst them is the ability to pay for goods and services from Airtel Money partner merchants.
KFC is an internationally recognized brand that has managed to cut a strong niche for itself after a few years of establishing in Ghana.
This collaboration with KFC will therefore see two big brands coming together to delight their customers with world – class services and value.
Speaking to the press, the Managing Director of Airtel Ghana Lucy Quist explained that, Airtel’s partnership with a high value company like KFC will add to its growing merchant base and provide its cherished customers variety and flexibility in payment.
“With this collaboration, Airtel has added to its 500 plus merchants countrywide which would provide our over 1.5 million registered Airtel Money customers with a cool way to pay”.
Ms. Akosua Kumi a customer who activated her Airtel Money account and purchased a chicken meal had this to say, “Even though I knew about the service on my phone, I had never activated it. Actually, the process is really simple and straight forward. I also received the promotional extra chicken which was really great.”
The Airtel Money service has been instrumental in changing the way customers transact business since it was first introduced in Ghana and it is progressively moving towards achieving its target of helping to propel Ghana towards a cashless society.
