The leadership of the NPP has some explanation to do for deviating from some of the approved routes for the ‘wɔn gbo’ demonstration on Wednesday.
The Accra Regional Police have indicated that it will invite the party to answer questions to that effect.
“We will be calling them to come and explain their actions,” said Accra Region Police Commander DCOP Christian Tetteh Yohunu “Because if you defy a court order then it is contempt.”
On Tuesday the Police went to court to enjoin the NPP to stick to the route agreed on.

The Police however say apart from the deviation from the approved routes the demonstrators conducted themselves well.
“The conduct was okay. Everything went on peacefully at least they were no altercations between police and demonstrators and we were able to end the demonstration in a peaceful manner.” DCOP Tetteh Yohunu said.
Thousands of people clad in red and black holding placards with various inscriptions demonstrated to show their displeasure over the erratic power supply.
