An Accra high court is expected to rule today on a stay of execution application filed by HFC Bank that led to the suspension of the much anticipated Extraordinary General Meeting (EGM) on January 27.
[contextly_sidebar id=”oNcFsYG9Ddbrb0I4jsml87H7kItJyYzx”]This comes after an earlier ruling by a court for the EGM to be organized on the said date after 2 shareholders sued and challenged the organization of meeting.
The Social Security and National Insurance Trust (SSNIT), has already filed an affidavit in opposition to the case.
The EGM has been suspended twice as SSNIT lead a campaign for the removal and replacement of three directors of HFC.
Meanwhile Head of Legal at SSNIT, Baffour Akoto in an exclusive interview with Citi Business news earlier expressed disappointment at the turn of events in the bank.
