Visibly elated Dorbaareh commended government and the West African Examinations Council for introducing the resit exam.
He said “I will want to thanks those who introduced this exams and our masters in the yard. We hope that it will change our lives”
Dorbaareh was optimistic that he will pass the exams this time around to enable him further his education after serving his jail term.
“Being in the prison doesn’t mean I can’t make. I believe I can make it so that when I am released, I can continue my education”. He emphasized.
In all, 130 private candidates, comprising 61 boys and 69 girls took part in the exams conducted at the assembly hall of the Wa school for the deaf.
Some of the candidates who spoke to citi news however complained about the late release of the examination time and lack of syllabus, making it difficult for them to prepare adequately for the exams.
That not withstanding, majority of them were hopeful of passing.
The centre supervisor, Mr. Peter C. Bayor told citi news the center did not record any incident at commencement of the exams.
