He made the remarks in an interview with Citi News on the sidelines of the maiden prayer and thanksgiving service to be held by the Accra Police Command on Friday.
He said, “At least we’ve entered a new year, there is a need as peacemakers we need the strength of God,” adding “we work in the physical realm and we also need the spiritual protection as we do our work.”
He explained, “Our work is such that we need to give protection to people, so he who gives protection also needs protection.”
DCOP Yohuno further stated that the prayer programme “is something new we are introducing in this region and I hope it will be sustained,” adding that the Inspector General of Police has promised to grace the occasion as well as all police commanders in Accra.
