The Minister of Transport Dzifa Attivor has revealed that an independent committee would be inaugurated on Thursday to investigate the cause of the Ethiopian Cargo crash land incident.

The cargo plane with flight No. ET -AQV which was on route from Lome [Togo] to Accra, “skidded off the runway” while trying to land safely.
According to officials at the Kotoka International Airport, the incident occurred when the aircraft was attempting to land in a bad weather.
Speaking to Citi News after assessing the accident scene at the Kotoka International Airport, the Transport Minister Dzifa Attivor explained that investigations by the committee will give further insight to the cause of the accident.
“As a government, there is a need for us to set up an independent investigation committee so that we will know exactly what caused the incident, therefore we will inaugurate the committee on Thursday,”she disclosed.
The transport Minister said that even though some investigations had begun, more will be done to determine the cause the incident, adding, “the Ghana Civil Aviation have started investigating the crash but they just told us that there was a crash and that all they know for now. More details will come out during the investigatation.”
A regulatory body had earlier issued a statement about the incident.
