Masked smash-and-grab robbers fled with mobile phones, accessories as well an undisclosed amount of money after storming a mobile phone shop at Beat 9 junctions in Aflao in the Volta Region.
[contextly_sidebar id=”gnxNSWNIzcErfcuBRLjZmXHqS1mMqxYB”]The owner of St Peters shop who only gave his name as Peter, told Citi News the incident occurred at about 3:30am on Tuesday when the robbers invaded the area and held residents at gun point.
Two of the workers who were sleeping in the shop at the time of the incident looked on terrified, as the robbers smashed the glass display cabinets to reach the wares.
He recounted similar invasions on his restaurant; Japet Restaurant located along Diamond Street in Aflao.
‘’My restaurant was attacked thrice and the recent attack is the fourth on his shops. We are not safe here at all’’ he said.
the Divisional Police Commander for Ketu South , Augustine Luguyari confirmed the incident to Citi News and said they are investigating the case to bring the culprits to book.
