The Ghana Private Road Transport Union (GPRTU) has released a list to guide transport operators on how to charge the new transport fares.
[contextly_sidebar id=”WkKhJaZY1aXzooueMnEkZxJ3fOUyWwMV”]Following a reduction in fuel prices by 10 percent, the GPRTU was directed to also reduce transport fares by five percent.
Earlier, the General Secretary of the Ghana Private Roads Transport Union (GPRTU), Stephen Okudzeto speaking on Eyewitness News was optimistic the new prices will be effected by Monday, January 12.
He explained that the delay in effecting the new fares “is not deliberate” saying, “the new list left our offices late and it takes time for these documents to get to them.”
He said the various regions have received the new price list with the exception of those in the Greater Accra Region.
