A five-year-old boy has been confirmed dead in a fire at Half Assini in the Western Region.
The fire, which burnt down an entire house where the boy and his family resided, is said to have started at around 11pm on Friday.
According to an eyewitness Osei Kofi, the fire was put out by neighbors because the Fire Service team did not show up when they were called.

We then went to the fire service but they said the front tyre of the fire tender was faulty so they cannot help, so we put the fire out to prevent it from spreading to the other houses,” he narrated.
