Event host Naa Ashorkor was with both teams and learned how they made their dishes and learning about the celebrities pet hates, passions and digging into their personal lives.
Speaking to media men after the show, Fatima Ali Mohammed, Managing Director (MD) of Wilmar International, producers of Frytol, said the programme was aimed at creating awareness about the Frytol brand and exploring all the different dishes that can be made with Frytol product.
“The Frytol brand is most loved in Ghana and we are using celebrities to create awareness by engaging them in fun food cooking activities…we just felt we needed to move to something more fun and exciting.” she said.
She observed that people assume celebrities are not good at cooking adding that “it’s a mental block that men are not good at cooking and the woman’s place is in the kitchen. So we wanted to prove that in Ghana it is the other way round and it just came out clearly that men are just as good as women in cooking.”
“Next year the programme will be better, bigger and exciting,” the MD assured.
