Hiplife artiste Kwaw Kese has been discharged from the Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital after he was rushed from prison to the facility on Thursday night.

According to Citi News’ Ashanti Regional Correspondent, Hawa Iddrisu, Kwaw Kesse was discharge last night and is currently in police custody and will be transported to prison later this morning.
Kwaw Kese was arrested at a drinking spot in Kumasi in the Ashanti Region for allegedly using a substance suspected to be marijuana.
He was on December 8, remanded in prison custody till December 22, 2014 after the court presided over by Justice William Boampong turned down his bail application.
Kwaw Kese’s lawyer, Nana Kwasi Boaitey, argued that the speculation by the police that the substance was Indian hemp was not enough for the court to deny his client bail.
Since his arrest, major stakeholders in the music industry including former hiplife artiste Lord Kenya and Samini had called for his release.
