National Development Agenda is the
real thing. And that is why the National Development Planning Commission SHOULD
be so INDEPENDENT of any government. It must be reconstituted in a
NON-PARTISAN APPROACH, elected or voted into place; and given its terms of
reference for SPECIFIC PERIODS; so that if it is not performing it is ‘kicked
out’ and replaced with others. It is ONLY then that we can see Ghana moving
forward without any break in the development of ALL sectors of the economy/nation. Let this new NDPC be part of the country’s constitution, either through a referendum or whatever and declare it as an INDEPENDENT body, and also for Ghanaians to make it as convention so that, even in the unlikely event of Military or temporary regime, it can STILL stand the test of time.

In addition, he is trying to show how frustrated he is with our current democratic practice of multi-partism where each of them has their own agendum they pursue when given mandate. So, we need to develop a National Agenda and urge all political parties to pursue same when elected. This will avoid truncating certain developmental projects which would have taken place under certain governments.
