The Chief of Staff, Prosper Bani has denied reports that government has appointed a Deputy Director of Communications at the Presidency.
Earlier reports indicated that a former Director of Public Affairs of the Ghana Armed Forces, Colonel Mbawine Atintande, had been appointed as a Deputy Director of Communications at the Flagstaff House.
Reports further noted that Colonel Atintande was undergoing an orientation at the Presidency and is expected to report to the Director of Communications at the Presidency, Ben Dotse Malor.
However, a statement issued on Friday from the presidency described such reports as false.
According to the Chief of Staff, Colonel Mbawine Atintande (Rtd.) has never been and is not a staff of the Presidency, neither is he an appointee of the government.
