Counsel for entertainment icon, Kwasi Kyei Darkwah (KKD) has said he will use all available means to ensure his client is granted bail.
According to Nana Asante Bediatuo, there are several cases of alleged rape in which the accused persons were granted bail; therefore it is disappointing that his client was refused bail.

KKD was on Tuesday charged with rape and denied bail by the Kaneshie District Magistrates’ Court.
He was subsequently remanded into prison custody to re-appear on January 8, 2015.
This follows his arrest on Saturday night at the African Regent Hotel in Accra for allegedly ‘raping’ a 19-year-old-girl, Ewuraffe Orleans Thompson.
His counsel has denied the allegation stating that the sex with the complainant was consensual.
KKD’s family members have also alleged that they suspect foul play in the circumstances leading to his arrest.
Speaking to the media after court proceedings on Tuesday, Nana Asante Bediatuo acknowledged that “even though a crime of rape on the Statute book is non-bailable in certain circumstances, the court has granted bail before but we’ll take it a bit further.”
