Legendary Ghanaian Musician, Nana Ampadu has asked all aspiring musicians to broaden their knowledge in music by learning new ideas relevant to the profession, and also learn how to use music instruments.
“It is not too late to learn something new . My advise to every musician, is that if you want to be a very good musician, get yourself prepared to learn how to play the keyboard, guitar. You can’t just a be a musician, if you don’t know anything, I’ll call you a singer. If you are a musician at least you must know something,” the Musician said.
Ampadu said though a lot of musicians indulge in drugs, etc the determined ones can stand the challenge if they want to.
“Draw yourself from this public nuisance and you will be free,”he said.
Meanwhile the Musician has raised concerns over Ghana’s degenerating culture .
The ace musician said the value of Ghana’s culture is deteriorating because Ghanaians do not promote it.
“That’s why when your counterparts raise concerns about this challenge I tell them the fault is not from anybody but our society,”he stated.
Nana Ampadu who has about 600 songs to his credit, is one of the musicians who will be performing at this year’s MOGO Dance Party.
This year’s MOGO Dance Party comes off on Friday December 5, 2014 at Alisa Hotel in Accra.
Other musicians on the bill are Okyeame Kwame and Musician Akwaboah.
