A Tamale Circuit Court has remanded into prison custody a 28 year old man for allegedly defiling a 12 year old class four pupil.
The victim (name withheld) accused Alhassan Dakogu of defiling her at a mini forest near Tamale Polytechnic.

Alhassan Dakogu also admitted defiling the victim but blamed the devil for deepening his woes.
He was on Wednesday arraigned before a Tamale Circuit Court and was subsequently remanded into prison custody.
He is to reappear in court on Monday and the victim’s family is expected to produce her birth certificate at the next sitting.
The girl’s uncle, Abdullah Gurundoo commended the Tamale police Criminal Investigations Department for fast tracking the case.
He said the family expected justice to prevail to serve as a deterrent to others.
Abdullah Gurundoo confirmed an attempt made by some elders of the Kpalsi community to settle the case out of court.
