Headline sponsor of the local premier league First Capital Plus Bank have revealed that they are disappointed in the manner in which the Ghana Football Association has handled the impasse between King Faisal football club and Aduana Stars football club.
The King Faisal has succeeded in getting a an interlocutory injunction from the court to on the FA’s annual congress preventing the demotion and promotion of teams for the upcoming league season.
Speaking in an interview with Citi Sports the Marketing and Corporate affairs manager of First Capital Plus Nana Yaw Kesse says the manner in which the FA have dealt with the issue raises doubts about the competence of the FA’s disciplinary structures.
“We believe that if the conflict resolution mechanism within the FA was swift the issue would not have dragged this far,”he said.
He further went on to state that the current situation is hurting the image of their organisation and are worried by how issues are progressing.
“As sponsors we are very uncomfortable because we are losing in terms of mileage.
Currently all reportage being churned out about the league is negative and that has made us very unhappy,”he retorted.
