The Gbungbung Youth Association (GYA), which is aligned to the Tamale Central Constituency of the National Democratic Congress, has said that its Member of Parliament (MP), Alhaji Inusah Fuseini, welcomes any challenge to his parliamentary bid in 2016.

The statement follows threats by a Tamale based pressure group of the NDC called Gbewaa Youth asking Inusah Fuseini to step aside when the party opens nominations for the 2016 Parliamentary primaries.
According to the group the NDC risks losing the Tamale Central seat if the incumbent Inusah Fuseini is retained for the 2016 Parliamentary election.
Meanwhile, he statement by the GYA called on all those engaged in acts intended to malign the image of Alhaji Fuseini, who is also the Minister for Roads and Highways, to desist from such acts as they would not prevent him (Alhaji Fuseini) from retaining the seat in the 2016 elections.
It extolled the virtues of Alhaji Fuseini saying, “His humility and maturity make him stand tall in Dagbon.”
