PIAC; the committee mandated to monitor government’s compliance with the petroleum revenue management law will on Monday be evicted from its current office space for failing to renew their rent.
But Mr. Tekper says government will soon meet its commitments to PIAC stating that “because of the huge commitments in other areas, it was not always possible to make prompt payments to PIAC.”
He acknowledged that “PIAC is an institution that is being prioritized and therefore, we promise to work with the Chairman to correct the situation as soon as possible.”
