Some canoe owners in Elmina have given the government a two-week ultimatum to provide enough premix fuel for them in the area.
The angry canoe owners say they have been receiving inadequate supply of premix fuel from government.
Government promised Elmina fishermen it will provide them with premix fuel but according to the fishermen, persons who have been mandated to sell the product have not been selling it in right quantities.

He went on to explain that the committee government formed to ensure the constant supply of the product has collapsed and now only one person has been left in charge of the sale of premix fuel.
Kojo Badu also alleged that the new committee which was subsequently formed has been hoarding the premix fuel and selling it to fishermen at exorbitant prices.
He added that, apart from harming the fishermen, the distributors are again tarnishing the image of their political party.
