Officials of the Ghana High Commission in the United Kingdom are expected to visit Nayele Ametefeh, the woman who was arrested with cocaine in the United Kingdom(UK) on Tuesday.
Speaking to Citi News, Ghana’s High Commissioner to the UK, Victor Smith said Nayele has “not denied the fact that the forbidden items were found in her baggage that she was carrying.”

Mr. Smith added that “she was put in court and the court decided that they will give her till the 27 which she will appear…”
“When we visit her tomorrow, I think I’ll have a lot more information…We get our information and we don’t just give it to the media per se. The information we get goes straight to National Security…I’ll not speculate any information that is given out from any other source until I have it from reliable sources,”he revealed.
In a related development, the Narcotics Control Board(NACOB) has revealed that Nayeli traveled from Kotoka International Airport on an Austrian passport.
NACOB reiterated that the lady did not travel on a diplomatic passport after she was arrested.
